In Roxen's commercial software, there is a system where the web site
can be replicated to one or more frontend servers. The replication
includes compiled rxml, which contains pike code. The portable byte
code is required to make it robust, so that the backend can run on
different hardware, or can be upgraded without simultaneously
upgrading the frontends.
