it is possible to tell roxen to let your module handle the sending of
the data with http_pipe_in_progress()
the tricky part will be to combine that with emit and rxml parsing in
general.
it might be necessary to fiddle with the rxml parser itself to add
something to tell it to send the data that it has produced so far.
