could you elaborate what that means?

non-portable bytecode is smaller?
making it less data to load at runtime?
making startup faster?

does it provide any other advantages?
like does it include generated machine-code?
does it run faster? (i doubt it)

what are the advantages of portable bytecode?
sure, it's portable, but who takes advantage of that feature?
